After the Development Test cycle was complete performed estimation of work involved in automation and come up with Test cases count to be Automated and this count need to be tracked on the weekly basis for status tracking of pending tests to be automated. |

Manually verified the test and automated the test using the Cisco test tool ATS environment using TCL as scripting tool. |

Verified the Script for its stability and committed it to CVS repository. |

Updated the test cases count which were committed to CVS as Completed test case for Automation status tracking. |

Software bug found during manual verification (or) Automation were logged in Cisco Defect Tracking tool. |

Verified and Closed the Defect once it was fixed by the Development team. |

Developed test cases to cover the functionality and document it in the test plan. |

Reviewed test plans and automated the test cases using the TCL/ATS library. |

Automating test case execution due to unrealistically short time for manual testing. For such cases wrote scripts that mimics the testers and intelligently deduces the results of the test. Worked involved scripting in TCL, interacting with routers, traffic generators and route injectors. |

Wrote test Harness written in Perl and Bash. One of the core responsibilities was to fix bugs when reported by testers and implement enhancements as requested. The work involved cgi scripting in Perl/JavaScript/HTML and some shell scripting in Perl/Bash for the background daemons. |

Due to growth in size of the team created on-line collaborative portal to allow the project managers/managers/team leads to share project and task information. Wrote this portal from scratch completely using PHP/MySql/Apache. The second phase of this project was a face lift delivered by AJAX. |

Worked on creating some software traffic tools for layer 4-7 DCAP and SAN testing. Responsibilities included writing new traffic modules, enhancing existing code and testing third party open source tools. Performed shell scripting in Perl/Bash, system administration on Linux servers and gauging performance metrics of existing and new tools.
